PRESENTATION TOPIC: “Crisis Management and the importance of Planning”

DESCRIPTION OF SESSION:
Today, forward-thinking Companies must have a crisis management plan in place with the goal of avoiding or minimizing harm to employees, customers, organizational profitability, reputation, and operations. When a Company has a written, properly communicated, effectively tested, and continuously updated crisis management plan in place, the company has the capability of appropriately responding to any crisis.
1) This session will review what is a crisis, examples of potential crisis situations, how a situation can go from bad to worse, and components of a crisis management plan.
Mark A. Hoffman, CSP is Health & Safety Director for Rudolph/Libbe Inc., of the Rudolph Libbe Group. A Certified Safety Professional with more than 35 years of construction safety experience, Mark serves as a consultant to management, supervision and field associates, providing guidance and technical assistance to help achieve the goal of safety excellence and zero incidents. He is a professional member of the American Society of Safety Engineers and serves in a leadership role on the Associated General Contractors’ (AGC) National Safety and Health Committee. He also is a member of the AGC of Ohio and the CURT national safety committees, and the Northwest Ohio Region 1 Urban Search & Rescue Team
